The International Neuroscience Institute (INI) offers internationally renowned physicians, outstanding medical technology and excellence in service.
At INI physicians in neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, ENT and orthopaedics combine to treat patients with neurological disorders. INI offers a disease-specific, patient-focused approach to care. INI treats:
| ■ |
Diseases of the brain (brain and skull base tumours, arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, cavernomas). |
| ■ |
Spinal cord diseases (tumours, syringomyelia, arteriovenous malformations) |
| ■ |
Diseases of the spine and limbs (vertebral disc disease, vertebral fracture, arthropathies). |
| ■ |
Diseases of peripheral nerves (tumours, plexus paresis, nerve trauma) |
| ■ |
A special emphasis of the INI is the interdisciplinary, surgical and interventional radiological treatment of vascular malformations and tumours of the nervous system. Depending on their individual needs patients can receive radiotherapy as their sole treatment or as a part of their overall treatment plan. |

Medical technologies
Intraoperative angiography allows a unique collaboration between a neurosurgeon and an interventional radiologist. This is an advantage in the treatment of difficult tumours or cerebrovascular malformation.
Intraoperative MR (magnetic resonance) allows a maximum radical removal of tumours at the lowest risk for neurological deterioration from surgery. INI has a state-of-the-art intraoperative highfield MR available for brain tumour surgery.
With the assistance of a most sophisticated neuronavigation device, the surgeon can safely remove pathological structures in the brain, which are not visible to the human eye!
Individual surgery is planned carefully, based upon MR images obtained from 3-Tesla MRI device and supported by sophisticated imaging software.

Patient services at INI
INI provides outstanding comfort for your stay as a patient. Medical technology is concealed so far as possible and all facilities are designed to provide an ambience like a hotel, rather than a hospital.
All patient rooms are amply furnished with parquet floor and modern, comfortable furniture. Large windows provide an airy feeling and many rooms have a pleasant view into nearby parkland.
INI provides 1, 2 and 3 bed rooms, but also excusive suites for patients and family or companions. All rooms are equipped with a hotel-like bathroom, but also meet the needs of disabled patients.
The cafeteria is airy and furnished in a friendly fashion, with German and Arabic cuisine are provided. For Jewish patients Kosher food can be ordered. There are also lounges where you can meet your relatives and friends.
Cafeteria, lounges and garden
The building is decorated with works of art, paintings and sculptures and the INI garden is adjacent to a large park area. This gives you a pleasant view and is convenient for your first walks after an operation.
